Two actions in the district court for Hennepin county, consolidated for trial and heard together on appeal, one by Earle J. Teas for personal injuries and property damage arising out of a collision between his auto and a streetcar operated by defendant company; and one by LaVerne Walker against Earle J. Teas and the streetcar company for personal injuries suffered when the auto involved in said collision struck him. The cases were tried before Harold N. Rogers, Judge, and a jury; the court directed verdicts against the defendant streetcar company on the question of negligence; and the jury returned verdicts for Earle J. Teas for $3,500 and LaVerne Walker for $7,000 against the streetcar company only. Said company appealed from the judgment in each case.
